I like to run, but it took me a long time to consider myself a runner. I run nearly every morning, early, through the streets of Woodbridge (and sometimes into New Haven, Orange, Bethany, or Ansonia). My steady pace is fast enough to finish my run before I have to wake up my kids, make their lunches, and get them out the door in the morning but not fast enough to break any records. Earlier this week, I signed up for the Bagel Run, one of my favorite 5K races (along with the IRIS Run for Refugees in February and the Walnut Beach 5K in August) because I get the chance to run alongside so many familiar faces from the Jewish community.
This year's Bagel Run is Sunday, September 15 at the JCC. Come run alongside me (or in front of me), and let's share a bagel at the end of the race.
